Tour and Adventure
“The Prettiest Village In Maine”
We opened our restaurant Back River Bistro in Wiscasset, ME in 2022. Wiscasset has stolen our hearts and we want you to see all this exciting little town has to offer! Instead of a big party after the wedding, go and explore with other wedding guests!
Planned Events:
4 pm - Castle Tucker Historic Tour
5 pm - Wine Tasting at Nickels-Sortwell House (wine and food provided)
6 pm - Pizza & Pub Food Provided at Aeker Brewing (beer for purchase, food provided)
6 pm - Bourbon Bar opens at The Water Front Home (open bar)
7:30 pm - “After Party” at The Water Front Home (open bar)
Try the most famous Lobster Roll in the country at Red's Eats! As seen on Diner's Drive In's & Dives and national television! Bring your WeddingFest Lanyard for a 10% Discount!

Who Does It Better!? Owner Larry Sprague is a native Wiscasset man and the word on the pier is his Lobster Roll is just as good as Red's. What say you? Stop by with your WeddingFest lanyard for a 10% discount on your lobster roll!
Get Your Maine Oysters at Jolie Rogers!! Ryan Jolie and Andy Rogers team up to grow, shuck, and serve local oysters at Jolie Roger's Oyster Bar on the waterfront in the Village. We've come to know Andy as a friend and cheer him on for his US National Oyster Shucking Competitions (he was #3 in the country in 2024!)! Head in for cocktails and $2 Oysters with your WeddingFest lanyard!
Tour Castle Tucker! 4 PM! RSVP Required Built in 1807, Castle Tucker was home to Captain Richard H Tucker and his family - the powerhouse behind the New England shipping industry north of Boston. To participate in the tour, please RSVP below!
Join us for charcuterie and snacks starting at 4:30 pm at the Nickels-Sortwell historic home in the Village. Built in the early 1800s, William Nickels built this home as a symbol of wealth and status and a place to call home between his shipping travels to Europe and the West Indies. He had a nature of hospitality that we can get behind. This home has an AirBnB with a beautiful garden if you're looking for an exciting place to stay while in town!
Stop in to Aeker Brewing for locally crafted beer (non-alcoholic options too!), games, pizza, and pub food! Kids welcome!

See why Wiscasset hosts the "Wiscasset Art Walk" and pop into the many art galleries in the Village. Pieces from all over the world, renown and new artists. Talk to shop owners about their findings and sourcing to see why Wiscasset is one of the premier purchasing places for fine art!
Got Kiddos? Feeling adventurous! Check out Monkey C Monkey Do on Rt. 1 South of the Village for a rope obstacle course! This family-friendly event playground is great for a mid-day adventure before pizza and beer/ snacks at Aeker Brewery!

THE AFTER PARTY! Join us starting at 7:30 pm at 61 Water Street for the After Party! Our dear friends Sarah and Dennis have kindly opened their home for an open bar, snacks, and waterfront views! Party ends at 9:30 pm!
